Privacy Policy

Metadata Remover: EXIF GPS is a local-first privacy utility for reviewing and cleaning metadata from selected photos and videos.

Photo and video processing

Selected photos and videos are processed on device. Photo files, video files, filenames, GPS data, camera data, metadata contents, and cleaned output are not uploaded to our server.

Originals

Original media is never overwritten. When you save or share, Metadata Remover creates cleaned copies.

Accounts, cloud and AI

The app does not require an account, does not use cloud sync for media processing, and does not use AI or API processing for metadata removal.

Firebase diagnostics

The app may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage, improve reliability, and diagnose crashes. These services may process app interaction events, app launch and feature usage events, device/app diagnostics, and crash reports. They do not receive your photo files, video files, filenames, GPS data, camera data, metadata contents, or cleaned output.

Purchases

Adapty is used to manage in-app purchases, paywall configuration, purchase status, and restore purchases. Adapty may process purchase-related identifiers and transaction status required to provide Pro access. Metadata Remover does not send photo or video content to Adapty.

App Store privacy summary

For App Store privacy labels, Metadata Remover may collect diagnostics and product interaction or usage analytics through Firebase, and purchase-related data through Adapty. Tracking is not used. User content, photos, videos, filenames, location metadata, camera metadata, cleaned files, contact information, and identifiers entered into the app are not collected by Metadata Remover.

Support emails

If you contact support by email, we receive only the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and optional diagnostic details. Photos and videos are not attached automatically.
